• It's been a huge week in mobile and for Apple's dominance of it. First Google bought Motorola Mobility, essentially conceding defeat in the battle of the mobile business models. And then, after news that HP's touch smart only had a sell through rate of 10%, HP announced it's selling its personal products group and killing webOS, once thought to be an iOS killer. 

• Looking for new ways to enjoy music? Have a look at Turntable.fm, a social radio site that could be described as what might happen if Pandora and Facebook ever had a child. For those who prefer to be in control, Spotify is the all you can eat version of iTunes that lets you fill up your library by artists at a time for only $5 a month.

• IBM is creating an electronic brain - "IBM’s so-called cognitive computing chips could one day simulate and emulate the brain’s ability to sense, perceive, interact and recognize — all tasks that humans can currently do much better than computers can." via @iamtodd

• Apparently, jellyfish make good pets. This marine biologist designed a desktop jellyfish tank, then put his idea up for funding on Kickstarter. With still 24 days to go, he is over 2000% funded.

• In about 5 years, you'll have the opportunity to stay in an orbiting hotel. That will give you plenty of time to save your pennies, because a 5-day trip into space will cost you a million bucks. via @mashable
